Dawn started the business in 1989 aged 22 with a vision of creating a Salon space where both Clients and the team, love to be. To have a beautiful salon where guests will feel rested, nurtured and for them to leave feeling inspired

and fabulous. 

 

A salon where the team will be valued, appreciated and given the opportunity to truly reach their potential. A salon where they can progress, grow and take their hairdressing services in the direction that they most enjoy and thrive in.

 

The loyalty of the team over the past 37 years is something Dawn is so proud and thankful for, and the team continue to inspire and motivate her every day.

Dawn’s favourite quote is “Love what you do” and feels blessed to have experienced this for so long. Married to Ian, they have grown up daughters Jasmin and Zara.

Lindsey joined the team back in 1991 with a childhood dream of being a hairstylist. Lindsey attended Exeter college for 4 years part time and qualified to NVQ level 3.

Lindsey is extremely professional in everything she does and works to the highest standards. This has resulted in a very loyal clientele, many of her clients having come to her for many years. Lindseys cutting is precise and beautiful - she is a perfectionist to say the least. A great one for the younger stylist to watch for sure.

​

Married to Local Estate agent manager Neil, they live locally - their two children Ollie & Izzie, are now grown up.

​

Lindsey is a truly fabulous stylist who works on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Meet Rachael, our talented Advanced Stylist who been with Quinns since 1993.

 

Known for her exceptional haircutting skills and vibrant personality, she inspires both clients and colleagues alike. Rachael loves to create exciting transformations and is always eager to share for at-home hair care advice.

 

A true jack-of-all-trades in hairdressing, she brings joy and friendship to the salon, full-time from Monday to Thursday. She is a pleasure to work alongside and is the most incredible role model for the whole team.

Lita joined the salon in 1997 and was manager for 8 years. She is qualified to NVQ Level 3 and is also a qualified Indian Head Massage therapist. A great stylist, with a wealth of experience of hair as well as being very caring and attentive to her guests.

Lita has a great sense of loyalty - and this shows both in the service she gives her clients, as well as her want to support all events with the team. ​

She has always kept very busy out of the salon too, Lita has lots of interests as well as helping on their family farm where she lives with her husband Andy and their two daughters.

​

Lita works all day on Thursdays and Fridays.

Lisa joined the salon in 2002.  She is a bubbly member of the salon team, great at what she does and a real team player, always offering to help everyone in the salon however she can.

 

Lisa is qualified to NVQ Level 2, and enjoys all aspects of salon work. Lisa is a very busy Stylist - offering all hair services, she really enjoys variety of these, and the clients who sit in her chair.

 

She is a qualified Indian Head Massage therapist as well as specialising in Smoothing Services in the salon.She loves textured hair - and the fact that we have the choice to change it.

Lisa is married to farmer Phil, and also works on the farm too!

One busy lady - they live on their own farm with children Holly and Josh.

Lisa works Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Sarah joined us at the salon in 2004. She is a superb stylist who loves all aspects of hairdressing, her skills covers all areas! Over the years Sarah has built a wonderful following from clients, many whom she has taken care of for many years.

​

Sarah has also been involved with the training of younger Stylists at the salon - helping them gain skills and confidence as well as helping with daily salon management routines.

​

Sarah is bubbly and chatty ensuring those that whoever she spends time with, are taken good care of.

 

Married to Rob, our Salon Electrician - they have two lovely boys called Jake and Artie.

Sarah works Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Evie has been with us at Quinns since 2013 and has been brilliant from the beginning. She is lovely to work with, and is popular with the team as well as having a wonderful loyal clientele.

 

She works in a careful and precise way, ensuring her finish is perfect. Evie has grown into a very capable and talented Stylist specialising in Colour, and loves painted on Balayage techniques. She is also a long hair specialist.

We are so excited to now welcome Evie back from having time with her baby boy Teddy. Evie is now she working Tuesdays & Thursdays and alternate Fridays.

​

Chloe joined us at the salon in September 2015. She had a passion for hairdressing from an early age. Chloe completed her NVQ level 3 in 2019. And has proved to have a real natural flair when it comes to hair.

 

She is interested in all aspects of hairdressing and particularly enjoys colour corrections and big colour changes! She also is a big fan of our Keratin Treatment - which ensures smooth shiny hair every time!

 

Chloe loves the outdoors, and spending time with her very cute dog Angel.

 

Chloe has a great following at Quinns and works Tuesday to Friday Full time.

Gemma joined us at the salon in 2018. She is qualified to NVQ level 3 Gemma and is an Advanced Stylist.

 

Gemma is a pleasure to have in the salon, always doing whatever she can to help the team as well as running her own busy column at the salon. She has a great clientele, and is very popular due to her kind warm nature. Gemma loves maintaining natural hair colouring, working with short hair through to long hair and creating beautiful hair ups, and occasion hair.

​

Gemma also love a good Garden Centre. She can be found in various ones in the area, indulging in pots and plants for her garden! 

​

Gemma is currently on maternity leave after having her beautiful Baby Maya last year!

Charlotte joined us in May 2021 and works full time as an Advanced Stylist.

 

Charlotte loves to colour and especially loves creating Blondes, and is never happier than when she is working on a big foiling colour make overs! Charlotte has built a very loyal following at the salon, with wonderful client reviews after their visits. Charlotte is great for all clients, and we never see her anything other than happy and chilled! She is a great holiday planner too, enjoying time abroad in the sun - whenever allows!

Charlotte works all day Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with late nights until 8.30pm being Wednesdays and Thursdays.

​

Megan joined the team in July 2020 and is now already a talented Stylist.

She won Exeter College Student of the Year in 2022 for Hairdressing professionals. This highlights her focus, positive attitude and desire to continually progress.

​

Megan is a great team member, always positive and an all round lovely person. She has a passion for hair cutting, lived in blondes and in particular Balayage techniques.

 

Megan lives with husband Clifford and their very cute Baby Russell - born in 2024. Meg now works Mondays & Tuesdays. 

Hattie is in her 5th year of hairdressing having joined us full time in the summer of 2022. She became our Salon apprentice having previously completing 2 years studying hairdressing at Exeter College.

​

She has completed her NVQ level 2 with all Distinctions and in 2024 completed her NVQ Level 3 at Exeter College successfully winning a 'highly commended' award at the end of year student awards.

​

She is building a real strong clientele in the salon. She is organised, creative and talented. Hattie is proving to be very popular with clients as well the team. She works full time Tuesday to Friday with late nights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 8.30pm.

​

She is available for all hairdressing services and is bookable online.

Lily joined at the salon in August 2025 - as our new Apprentice.

 

Lily is attending Exeter College day release each Monday and spend the rest of the week with us.

​

She is now looking for models for her learning and progression.

Emma joined the salon in December 2024 starting in the crazy weeks of Christmas, so very quickly learnt about the salon!

​

You will find Emma at the salon reception welcoming in and taking care of our salon guests as well as helping the team with their daily work too. 

​

Emma has now decided to train as a Stylist, and started her training on a Full time course at Exeter College in September 2025.

​

Emma now has a hair training session at the salon on a Tuesday!

​

Lisa B joined the salon in December 2013 with the role being to manage the salon. Her roles include salon rotas and routines, cashing up and banking, health & safety, salon guest co-ordinator, window displays, housekeeping to name but a few.

 

Lisa is incredibly committed to her role, and is constantly striving to make the salon a better place both to work in, and to visit.

 

Lisa completed a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) through The Good Salon Guide with the knowledge helping to support the team.Lisa is a great support and friend to everyone in the team.

Married to Nick, they have a son James who lives and works in Exeter.

​

Jo started with us Quinns when she was just 16 and completed her NVQ level 2. Three Children later she re-joined the salon in 2014 after a 10 year gap working part-time on reception and assisting stylists. Jo is involved in all front of house tasks, and takes her role really seriously making her excel at it.

 

Jo is bubbly, outgoing and welcoming. She is fabulous at inviting guests into the salon ensuring they feel relaxed, comfortable and at ease. Jo is a fantastic person to have as part of our team and always creates great fun within the salon. 

​

Jo is married to James of Stevens Estate Agent and has 3 remarkable sons and 1 beautiful Grandaugher!

Maxine joined the salon in 2006 and excels in her role overseeing all aspects of the salon involving Guest relations and supporting the Salon Team.

 

Max is an organised, hard working member of the team and is such an asset, making sure everything runs smoothly for us all.

 

Maxine also offers an incredible Indian Head Massage, and treatments which she has a great love for. 

 

Max is married to Wayne, and they have grown up children Mathew and Becca. Last year was exciting as Maxine become a Grandmother to gorgeous baby Phoebe, and daughter Becca was married in Portugal.

Meet Amy, who joined our team in 2022 as a part-time Salon Assistant. Working on Tuesdays and Thursdays, she supports both our talented stylists and takes care of our clients..

​

Amy is known for her exceptional organization and hard work, always ensuring the salon runs smoothly, she is amazing!

 

Despite her limited hours each week, she plays a vital role in our team, all while managing a busy café in town full-time!

Eevee joined our team in August 2025, and she has truly been a brilliant addition!

 

With her 'can do' attitude and boundless energy, she fits in seamlessly. Organized, hardworking, and curious, Eevee is quickly mastering everything she needs to know.

​

Outside of the salon, she enjoys caring for horses, running, and staying fit. We're thrilled to have her on board, and this year she has even increased her hours to three days a week to better support our team & clients!
