Meet Dawn – Founder of Quinns

Dawn founded Quinns in 1989 at just 22, driven by a vision to create a salon where both clients and the team genuinely love to be. Her dream was a beautiful, nurturing space where guests feel relaxed, cared for, and leave feeling inspired and fabulous.

Just as importantly, Dawn wanted a salon where the team feel valued, appreciated, and supported to reach their full potential. A place where they can grow, progress, and shape their hairdressing careers in the direction that excites them most.

​

The incredible loyalty of the Quinns team over the past 37 years is something Dawn is deeply proud of and grateful for. Their passion, commitment, and creativity continue, alongside the loyalty of long standing clients continue to inspire and motivate her every single day. 

Dawn's favourite part of the salon is being 'behind a chair!'

Meet Rachael, who has been part of the salon since 1994 and is our longest-serving Stylist — truly one of a kind.

With decades of experience and a wonderfully loyal client base, Rachael is loved for her creativity, care and genuine connection with every client who sits in her chair. 

Whether she’s creating sharp short cuts, refreshing a classic style or helping someone embrace a completely new look, she brings enthusiasm, precision and confidence to every appointment.

Warm, welcoming and full of personality, Rachael’s clients adore her — and so do we.

Rachael works: Monday to Thursday with a late night on Tuesday.

Meet Lisa, one of our busiest and most loved stylists. Bubbly, chatty and full of energy, she has built a wonderfully loyal client base thanks to her warm personality and dedication to making every client feel special. 

Lisa will always go out of her way to help both clients and the team, bringing positivity and care to every day in the salon.

A fantastic all-round stylist, Lisa is highly skilled in colouring, cutting, perming and keratin smoothing treatments. 

​Passionate about her work, she gives her all to every client, ensuring they leave the salon feeling confident, refreshed and looking their very best. Lisa is also busy working on her own farm, so she is one busy lady!

Meet Sarah - part of the Quinns family since 2004 bringing creativity, warmth, and a true passion for hair to every client she meets. 

Known for her precision cutting and transformative makeovers, Sarah loves creating styles that help people feel confident and refreshed.

With years of experience and an intuitive approach to hairdressing, she has also become a valued mentor within the salon, generously sharing her knowledge and encouraging the next generation of stylists.

Sarah works Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, including late-night appointments on Thursdays

Meet Evie, who has been part of the Quinns family since 2013 and is one of our most experienced and creative Style Directors. With a true passion for hair, she brings exceptional skill to everything she does.

Evie specialises in beautiful colour work and precision cutting, and she’s especially known for her stunning long styles, seamless blondes, and effortless curls.

Whether you’re dreaming of soft beach waves, glossy flowing lengths, or the perfect blonde refresh, Evie is dedicated to creating a look that feels stylish, modern, and completely wearable every day.

Calm, professional, and deeply committed to healthy, beautiful hair, she makes every client feel relaxed, understood, and cared for from start to finish.

Evie works Tuesdays, Thursdays & every other Friday.

Meet Chloe, who has been dazzling clients at Quinns since 2015 – she was simply born to do hair. 

As a confident and highly creative Advanced Stylist, she thrives on dramatic transformations as much as she does maintaining your signature style.

She is creative in her cutting and colouring as well as gents hairdressing, Chloe is your one-stop pro.

Always current, always cool, Chloe brings flair, fun, and fabulous hair to every appointment.

Chloe works: Tuesday to Friday, with late nights on Tuesday & Wednesday

Meet Gemma, our Classic Stylist and true all-rounder since 2018.

From precision cutting and beautiful colouring to smoothing keratin treatments.

Gemma loves helping clients look and feel their best.

Sweet, chatty and caring, she creates a relaxing welcoming experience while delivering gorgeous, wearable hair every time.

Gemma works all day Tuesday & Wednesday.

Meet Charlotte, who joined us in 2021 and quickly became our go-to blonde specialist. Calm, easy-going and wonderfully chatty.

Charlotte creates the most beautiful blondes with her precision foiling and seamless toning — a true artist in her craft.

She also loves transforming frizzy hair into smooth, glossy locks with our keratin treatments, helping clients leave feeling confident and refreshed.

Full of sunshine, chilled vibes and cheerful energy, Charlotte brings a relaxed and welcoming feel to every appointment.

Working Mon, Wed, Thursday & Friday Charlotte leaves us to start her Maternity Leave on June 12th.

Meet Megan, who began her hairdressing journey in 2020 and qualified as Student of the Year in 2022 — a wonderful achievement and reflection of her talent and dedication.

Megan loves classic foiling, creating beautiful blondes, alongside cutting and styling hair to perfection.

She has a calm, professional manner and is known for being caring, thoughtful and attentive, always making her clients feel comfortable and well looked after throughout their appointment. 

​

Meg works Monday & Tuesday - and is now on her Maternity leave for her 2nd Baby.

Meet Hattie is a friendly, chatty and easy-going stylist whose fun personality makes her incredibly popular with both clients and the team.

A talented all-rounder, nothing fazes her and she takes on every aspect of hairdressing with confidence and creativity.

Hattie has a real passion for balayage and loves creating beautiful, personalised colour results. During her training, Hattie achieved distinctions throughout and was recognised for her talent and dedication by winning student awards on completion of her course. 

Hattie works Tuesday through to Friday, with late nights on Tues/Wed.

Meet Emma, our Junior Stylist, who is currently completing her NVQ Level 2 at Exeter College.

Emma is creative, passionate about hairdressing and brings a real can-do attitude to the salon. A confident fast learner and fantastic team member, she loves developing her skills and growing in confidence every day.

​

Emma will be available to book on a part-time basis while she continues her NVQ level 3 and practises and perfects her techniques, so appointments may take a little longer — but you’ll be in very caring hands.

​

Lisa B joined the salon in December 2013 with the role being to manage the salon. Her roles include salon rotas and routines, cashing up and banking, health & safety, salon guest co-ordinator, window displays, housekeeping to name but a few.

Lisa is incredibly committed to her role, and is constantly striving to make the salon a better place both to work in, and to visit.

Lisa completed a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) through The Good Salon Guide with the knowledge helping to support the team.Lisa is a great support and friend to everyone in the team.

Married to Nick, they have a son James who lives and works in Exeter.

​

Jo started with us Quinns when she was just 16 and completed her NVQ level 2. Three Children later she re-joined the salon in 2014 after a 10 year gap working part-time on reception and assisting stylists. Jo is involved in all front of house tasks, and takes her role really seriously making her excel at it.

Jo is bubbly, outgoing and welcoming. She is fabulous at inviting guests into the salon ensuring they feel relaxed, comfortable and at ease. Jo is a fantastic person to have as part of our team and always creates great fun within the salon.

Jo is married to James of Stevens Estate Agent and has 3 remarkable sons and 1 beautiful Grandaugher!

Maxine joined the salon in 2006 and excels in her role overseeing all aspects of the salon involving Guest relations and supporting the Salon Team.

Max is an organised, hard working member of the team and is such an asset, making sure everything runs smoothly for us all.

Maxine also offers an incredible Indian Head Massage, and treatments which she has a great love for. 

This year we celebrate 20 years of having Max at the salon!

Meet Amy, who joined our team in 2022 as a part-time Salon Assistant. She supports both our talented stylists and takes care of our clients..

Amy is known for her exceptional organization and hard work, always ensuring the salon runs smoothly, she is amazing!

Despite her limited hours each week, she plays a vital role in our team, all while managing a busy café in town full-time!

Eevee joined our team in August 2025, and she has truly been a brilliant addition!

With her 'can do' attitude and boundless energy, she fits in seamlessly. Organized, hardworking, and curious, Eevee is quickly mastering everything she needs to know.

Outside of the salon, she enjoys caring for horses, running, and staying fit. We're thrilled to have her on board, and this year she has even increased her hours to three days a week to better support our team & clients!
